About Red Hook, New York City
Although it’s just a mere geometric mile from Manhattan, Red Hook has lived a fascinating, quite authentic and turbulent life. Once a warehouse center of the area, one of the busiest ports, it saw a severe criminal resurgence in the forties. Today Red Hook is a tranquil gem with cobblestone, no people or cars, and an extensive collection of doors and decadent industrial textures.
